Ragi Millet Dosa Mix

There is a reason your grandmother never needed a recipe.

She knew that good dosa starts with good fermentation — and that time and tradition cannot be replaced by shortcuts. Our Ragi Dosa Mix carries that same belief. The batter is naturally fermented first, then gently dried to preserve every bit of goodness. You just add water, rest 5 minutes, and let the tawa do the rest.

Ragi — known as nachni in Maharashtra and finger millet across the world — is one of nature's richest plant sources of calcium. Especially powerful for lactating mothers, growing children, and anyone building stronger bones every day.

  • Naturally fermented & dried — real fermentation, no baking soda
  • Ready in 5 minutes — no grinding, no overnight soaking, no curd needed
  • Gluten-free — safe for gluten-sensitive families
  • No preservatives, no maida, no artificial anything

Questions

What is the difference between ragi dosa mix and regular instant dosa mix?

Most instant dosa mixes use baking soda to create a rise effect. Our Ragi Dosa Mix is actually pre-fermented — naturally fermented the traditional way, then dried. You get real fermentation benefits — better digestion, authentic tang, and lighter texture. No shortcuts.

Can I use this as instant nachni dosa mix?

Yes — ragi and nachni (also spelled nachani) are the same grain. This is our instant nachni dosa mix in a convenient dry format. Just add water and cook.

Is this ragi dosa mix gluten-free?

The ingredients are naturally gluten-free. Processed in a facility that also handles other grains. If you have severe gluten sensitivity, please consult your doctor.

Is ragi dosa good for breastfeeding mothers?

Ragi is one of the best natural sources of calcium and iron — nutrients that are especially important during breastfeeding. Many lactating mothers in our community have made this a daily breakfast staple.

How much batter does one pack make?

325g pack + water makes approximately 13–14 dosas of 8-inch size.

150g pack makes approximately 6 dosas — ideal for 2 people.
